Friendship Day with Swiss School

On November 14, nursery and kindergarten students participated in an exchange event with the Swiss School. It was a fun bazaar-style event with various stations to introduce Korean culture to Swiss students. Activities included traditional games, art and craft and sampling traditional Korean snacks such as yakgwa and sikhye. SKIS students interacted with Swiss school students in English and had fun making new friends while introducing Korean culture.

SKIS 초등 축구대표팀 스위스대사배 축구대회 참가

SKIS 초등 축구대표팀이 11월 15일(토) Clementi Stadium에서 열린 스위스대사배 축구대회에 참가하였습니다. 이번 대회에서 초등 축구대표팀은 4위의 성적을 거두었습니다. 열심히 노력한 우리학교 대표팀 선수들에게 많은 격려와 응원 부탁드립니다.

G3 Field Trip to Canchita and Lemuel Chocolate

On 11 November 2025, G3 students went on a field trip to Canchita and Lemuel. We were super excited! We visited Canchita to look at some cacao trees and even though the trees were quite young, we spotted some flowers on them. We talked about the conditions needed for growing the cacao trees, and then we sketched them. After that, we headed over to Lemuel where we were shown the process of Bean to Bar that we had learnt in the classroom. It was great for the students to experience this process first-hand. We even got to taste some cacao nibs! Besides having a factory tour at Lemuel, we also decorated a lovely bar of chocolate by putting various toppings on it. We had such a wonderful (and yummy) field trip!

Kindergarten Countries Around the World: Day of the Dead

Following the thematic studies of countries around the world, the students learned about Mexico and their special festival: Day of the Dead. During the week, the students were able to experience the different components and rituals that the Mexican people would usually go through in preparation for the Day of the Dead. The students were able to make skeleton masks, which were a unique symbol of the special day as well as experience a childhood favourite, the Pinata!

제102회 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 시행(2025. 10. 19.)

제102회 한국어능력시험(TOPIK)이 2025년 10월 19일 일요일, 교내에서 시행되었습니다. 한국어능력시험은 외국인 및 재외동포를 대상으로 대한민국 교육부 국립국제교육원이 운영하고 있는 시험입니다. 한국어의 학습 방향을 제시하고 한국어 보급의 확대를 목적으로 하는 본 시험은 한국 대학(원) 입학 및 졸업, 한국 기업체 취업, 한국 체류 비자 취득 등에 활용되고 있습니다. 이번 한국어능력시험에는 총 201명(TOPIK Ⅰ 76명, TOPIK Ⅱ 125명)이 지원하였습니다. 성적 발표 일시는 12월 11일 15:00이며, 한국어능력시험 홈페이지( www.topik.go.kr)에서 확인 가능합니다.

유치원 민속의 날 행사 개최

10월 2일, SKIS 유치원에서는 우리나라 명절 추석을 맞아 '민속의 날' 행사를 개최하였습니다. 한복을 곱게 차려 입은 유치원 아이들이 다함께 모여 '조각보 꾸미기' 협동작품 만들기로 행사가 시작되었고 동그란 달을 떠올리며 강강술래 즐기기, 유치원 신체활동실에서 사방치기, 투호놀이, 엽전치기, 비석치기, 제기차기 등의 전통놀이가 이루어졌습니다. 이날 행사에는 특별히 K2 학생들이 <형님들이 알려주는 재미있는 민속놀이 방법>이라는 주제로 영어와 한국어로 민속놀이의 방법을 동생들에게 소개하는 프레젠테이션이 진행되었으며 떡메치기와 전통문양 떡 도장 찍기를 하며 평소 쉽게 할 수 없었던 즐거운 놀이도 더해지면서 다양한 민속 놀이와 문화를 경험하고 민족 정체성을 형성하는 기회가 되었습니다.

유치원 전통문화의 날 (9월)

유치원 전통문화의 날 9월 활동으로 우리나라의 장신구인 '노리개'에 대해 알아보았습니다. 노리개의 의미와 쓰임에 대해 이야기 나눈 후, 채색도구를 이용하여 노리개를 꾸며보고 전통의복에 노리개 더해보기, 어린이 도슨트가 되어 작품 소개하기 등의 활동을 하였습니다.
