ENGLISH BOOK WEEK 2026

We celebrated our Book Week with great enthusiasm and joy. Students had the exciting opportunity to choose their own themes and decorate their classroom doors creatively. We also invited storytellers, authors, and illustrators who shared their inspiring creative journeys with the students, making the experience even more special. The week ended on a high note with a colorful costume parade featuring students dressed as their favorite book characters. It was an incredible week filled with learning, creativity, and fun!

Activity Name: SKIS International Exchange Programme 2026 with Yishun Innova Junior Collage Obective: To cultivate students glocal mind and experience local culture Date & Time: May 19th, 20th, Periods5~7 Venue: SKIS and Yishun Innova Junior Collage Activity Description: On the opening day of the YIJC leg of the exchange, SKIS students open their campus doors to welcome the faculty and students of Yishun Innova Junior College Malay Culture Workshop: Facilitated by YIJC (often utilizing their Malay Language Elective Programme capabilities), SKIS students participate in hands-on workshops exploring traditional Malay customs, arts, or language. Peer Bonding & Team Games: Collaborative group games organized across the campus grounds to deepen cross-cultural communication and build teamwork between the two cohorts. Community Buffet Lunch: A shared culinary experience where students bond over local Singaporean dishes, allowing for informal, organic conversations about life as a student in Singapore and South Korea. 학생회 주최 스승의 날 맞이 행사

5월 15일 스승의 날을 맞아 싱가포르한국국제학교 전교어린이회 및 학생 일동이 평소 아낌없는 사랑과 헌신으로 학생들을 이끌어 주시는 교직원 선생님들께 감사의 마음 을 전하였습니다. 학생들은 정성스럽게 포장한 에그타르트를 직접 선생님들께 전달하며 따뜻한 마음을 나누었습니다. 말로 다 표현하기 어려운 고마움을 작은 선물에 담아 전한 이번 행사는 선생님과 학생 모두에게 서로의 소중함을 다시 한번 느낄 수 있는 뜻깊은 시간이 되었습니다. 항상 SKIS 학생들 곁에서 꿈과 성장을 응원해 주시는 모든 선생님들께 다시 한번 진심으로 감사드립니다. 선생님, 사랑합니다! 🌹

[3학년 1학기 현장체험학습] -Venue: Singapore Oceanarium -Date: Tuesday , 12 May , 2026 3학년 학생들은 싱가포르 아쿠아리움에서 진행된 다양한 체험 활동에 참여하며 해양 생물과 바다 생태계의 중요성에 대해 배우는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다. 전시 관람과 체험 프로그램을 통해 바다 생태계의 특징과 환경 보호의 필요성을 이해하며 즐겁고 유익한 현장체험학습을 마무리하였습니다. Students had a meaningful opportunity to learn about marine life and ocean ecosystems through various activities at the Singapore Oceanarium . By exploring the exhibits and participating in experiential programs, they deepened their understanding of marine ecosystems and the importance of environmental conservation while enjoying an engaging and educational field trip.

제105회 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 시행(2026.4.12.)

제105회 한국어능력시험(TOPIK)이 2026년 4월 12일 일요일, 교내에서 시행되었습니다. 한국어능력시험은 재외동포와 외국인을 대상으로 한국어 사용능력을 평가하는 시험입니다. 외국인 및 재외동포를 대상으로 하는 이 시험은 한국어의 학습 방향을 제시하고 한국어 보급의 확대를 목적으로 하며, 한국 대학(원) 입학 및 졸업, 한국 기업체 취업, 한국 체류 비자 취득 등에 활용되고 있습니다. 이번 한국어능력시험 총 200명(TOPIK Ⅰ 83명, TOPIK Ⅱ 117명)이 지원하였습니다. 성적 발표 일시는 5월 29일 금요일 15:00(KST) 이후 한국어능력시험 홈페이지(www.topik.go.kr)에서 확인할 수 있습니다.

2026학년도 어린이날 기념 선물 증정

오는 5월 5일 어린이날을 앞두고, SKIS 초등부 담임선생님들이 사랑스러운 제자들을 위해 깜짝 이벤트 를 준비했습니다. 다음 주부터 중간방학이 시작되어 어린이날을 학교에서 함께 보내지 못하게 되자, 선생님들이 뜻을 모아 직접 협력하여 스낵을 하나하나 정성껏 포장하고 4월 30일(목) 학생들에게 미리 기념 선물로 전달하였습니다. 선물을 받은 아이들은 눈을 반짝이며 환하게 웃었고, 선생님들의 따뜻한 마음이 고스란히 전해지는 행복한 시간 이 되었습니다. SKIS 초등부는 중간방학을 맞이하는 모든 어린이들이 즐겁고 건강하게 방학을 보내고, 5월 5일 어린이날도 가족과 함께 뜻깊게 보내기를 진심으로 응원 합니다. 건강한 모습으로 돌아오는 날을 기다리겠습니다! 🌟

2026 Kindergarten Science Fair

On the 21st of April, Kindergarten took part in the Science Fair with a variety of activities designed to inspire the children's curiosity and imagination. From volcanoes to magnetic cars, the children participated in different experiments that allowed them to observe the wonders of Science! This year, a fun science experience booth was also prepared for kindergarten students to enjoy together. Using the principle of “chroma key,” in which a camera recognises a specific colour and replaces that area with another image, students enjoyed a magical, imaginative photo studio! Title: Cooking with Melting and Solidification: Making Bark Chocolate Students made bark chocolate while learning about melting and solidification. Through this fun cooking activity, they observed how chocolate melts when heated and hardens again when cooled. Title: Volcanic Eruption (o bserving chemical reactions when elements interact) Students learned about volcanic eruptions and observed the chemical reaction when citric acid was mixed with baking soda, simulating eruptions. Title: Maple Seed Helicopter. Students made maple seed helicopters and explored how plants disseminate their seeds. They also learned the principles of helicopters, including vortex formation and lift. Title: Magnetic Race Car. Students created their very own race cars using magnets, and learned the science behind 'like-poles repel' that helped to push the cars forward. Zoom zoom!

초등 2026 Science Fair

The annual elementary Science Fair took place this year on 21 April , Thursday. Students had a wonderful time going from booth to booth participating in various interesting and fun-filled experiments such as making volcanoes out of lemon, playing with electromagnets, crafting catapults and sinking their hands into oobleck. On top of exploring the numerous branches of science and witnessing scientific concepts in action, students also got to learn about the topics of heat, temperature and states of matter through the snack booth which offered popcorn and slushies. The Kindergarten and Middle and High School students also partook in the fun and filled their tummies with their share of snacks. This year, the students also got an opportunity to put their knowledge to the test by taking part in a quiz corner. A winner was selected from each class and a total of six students received a science kit as a prize for their right answers! On the whole, it was an amazing day of diving deep into the fascinating world of science and students and teachers alike had a whale of a time! Kudos to every single teacher and student who made the event a great success!

2026학년도 1학기 장애이해주간 행사

싱가포르한국국제학교 특수학급에서는 2026학년도 1학기 장애이해주간 (2026.4.13.~4.24.)을 맞아 다양한 체험활동을 진행하였습니다. 각 학급에서 '팀쓰리' 보드 게임 활동을 통해 서로의 부족한 부분을 보완하며 함께 집을 완성해 보는 시간을 가지며 장애에 대한 올바른 이해와 공감 능력을 함양하였고, 도서관 앞 '사랑카페'에서는 무지개 긍정문구를 작성하고 무지개 요거트를 나누며 서로 응원하고 배려하는 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈습니다. 이번 장애이해주간 체험활동을 통해 학생들은 공동체 안에서 협력, 배려, 존중의 의미를 자연스럽게 배우는 시간이 되었습니다. 앞으로도 싱가포르한국국제학교는 모든 학생이 서로의 다름을 존중하고 함께 성장할 수 있는 따뜻한 학교 문화를 만들어 가기 위해 노력하겠습니다.
