Grade 3 Field Trip Semester 1 2024

Grade 3 went on a field trip to Bird Paradise on 21 May 2024. Upon arrival, we headed to the Amphitheatre where we enjoyed the exciting Predators on Wing show. We saw some majestic birds that flew right over our heads during the show and it was exhilarating! After lunch, we caught the Wings of the World show and explored the park. It was a really hot day but we saw many interesting birds up close and had the time of our lives!

Grade 5 Field trip to National Museum of Singapore

This semester, Grade 5 is learning about the history of our local area and the process of a settlement transforming into a town or city. So we made a visit to the National Museum of Singapore to learn about SIngapore's history and also to investigate the transformation of Singapore from a settlement to a vibrant and modern city. The museum was filled with various interactive activities, we watched captivating videos, saw interesting artefacts and made wonderful memories with our friends.

English Book Week 2024

SKIS Elementary department organized the English Book Week from 13th to 17th May. The purpose was to encourage children to read more and enhance their literacy skills. During the week, we guest speakers for all grades and children engaged and enjoyed listening to the storyteller(Sheila Wee), learning stories from around the world and the author shared his writing journey(Neil Humphreys), showing us that stories are everywhere. Students participated in fun literacy activities such as buddy reading, bookmark making, scavenger hunts, book reviews etc. The children also decorated their classroom doors based on a book or a theme and participated in the character costume parade. Everybody had great fun!

2024학년도 중학교 국제교류(w/ Swiss Cottage Secondary School)

안녕하세요. 2024학년도 중학교 국제교류 활동은 다음과 같이 진행되었습니다. Day 1: 본교에서 개최 -일시: 2024년 5월 23일 목요일 5-7교시 -활동 내용: 태권도, 민화, Kpop Day 2: Swiss Cottage Secondary School에서 개최 -일시: 2024년 5월 24일 금요일 5-7교시 -활동 내용: Ice breaking time, 학교 투어, 체육활동(Captain ball, Frisbee, Basketball 등) 활동에 즐겁게 참여하는 모습을 통해 학생들의 만족도를 짐작할 수 있었으며, 추후 진행된 만족도 조사를 통해서도 학생들이 국제 교류 활동 속에서 이야기를 주고받으며 서로의 문화를 이해해 나갈 수 있었다는 피드백을 주어 높은 만족도를 확인할 수 있었습니다. 1. 유치원 Science Fair

과학의 날(대한민국의 기념일, 4월 21일)을 맞이하여 우리 학교에서는 다양한 과학의 원리를 경험할 수 있는 활동을 해 보는 'Science Fair' 행사를 운영하였습니다. 공기, 자석, 물과 기름, 젤라틴을 활용한 화학 작용 등을 놀이를 통해 경험하며 즐거움을 느꼈던 유치원 어린이들이었습니다.
